Aqua(4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine-κ(2) N,N′)(nitrato-κO)(nitrato-κ(2) O,O′)zinc
In the title compound, [Zn(NO(3))(2)(C(12)H(12)N(2))(H(2)O)], the Zn(II) atom is six-coordinated in a distorted octahedral geometry by two N atoms from a chelating 4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine ligand, one water O atom, one O atom from a monodentate nitrate anion and two O atoms from a chelating ni...

Sumario: | In the title compound, [Zn(NO(3))(2)(C(12)H(12)N(2))(H(2)O)], the Zn(II) atom is six-coordinated in a distorted octahedral geometry by two N atoms from a chelating 4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine ligand, one water O atom, one O atom from a monodentate nitrate anion and two O atoms from a chelating nitrate anion. In the crystal, there are aromatic π–π contacts between the pyridine rings [centroid–centroid distances = 3.9577 (13) Å] and intermolecular O—H⋯O and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. |
