1-(4-Benzyloxy-2-hydroxyphenyl)ethanone
The title compound, C(15)H(14)O(3), has been obtained from the reaction of 2,4-dihydroxyacetophenone, potassium carbonate and benzyl bromide. The remaining hydroxy group is involved in an intramolecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bond. In the crystal, intermolecular C—H⋯O contacts occur.
