Sumario:Strongyloides stercoralis is an intestinal nematode that is able to infect the host tissue and persist asymptomatic for many years through autoinfection. It causes life-threatening hyperinfection in immunocompromised hosts. This report describes a rare case of strongyloidiasis in a 40-year-old male following renal transplant, which was diagnosed by colonoscopic biopsy. The literature on the subject is also reviewed.
