description Abstract. Females of Dicoelothorax platycerus deposit their eggs on the underside of leaves of Pseudabutilon virgatum (Cav.) Fryxell (Malvaceae). The host of Dicoelothorax platycerus is Ectatomma brunneum Smith (Formicidae: Ectatomminae).
