(1R,2R,E,E)-N,N′-Bis(4-chlorobenzylidene)cyclohexane-1,2-diamine

The title Schiff base ligand, C(20)H(20)Cl(2)N(2), was prepared by condensation of commercially available p-chlorobenzaldehyde and (R,R)-1,2-diammoniumcyclohexane mono-(+)-tartrate. The cyclohexane ring adopts a chair conformation. The dihedral angle between the two aromatic rings is 62.52 (8)°...

Sumario:The title Schiff base ligand, C(20)H(20)Cl(2)N(2), was prepared by condensation of commercially available p-chlorobenzaldehyde and (R,R)-1,2-diammoniumcyclohexane mono-(+)-tartrate. The cyclohexane ring adopts a chair conformation. The dihedral angle between the two aromatic rings is 62.52 (8)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by an intermolecular C—H⋯Cl hydrogen bond.
