Sumario:The title complex, [Cu(C(17)H(11)BrNO)(2)], lies on a centre of inversion. The chelating Schiff base anions define a square-planar N(2)O(2) donor set. The nearly perpendicular orientation of the naphthyl residues of the chelate ring [dihedral angle = 82.12 (12)°] precludes the Cu(II) centre from additional coordination. In the refinement, the naphthyl rings were found to be disordered over two positions.; the major component has a site occupancy of 0.667 (4).
