Sumario:Osteomyelitis is a disease which is heterogeneous in its pathophysiology, clinical presentation and management. It is considered to be one of the most difficult-to-treat infectious diseases. Progressive bony destruction and the formation of sequestra are hallmarks of osteomyelitis. We hereby report a rare case of maxillary osteomyelitis, which had actinomycotic osteomyelitis like presentation but was histopathologically diagnosed as a severe form of chronic suppurative osteomyelitis.
