Sumario:In this paper an attempt has been made to evaluate the theory of Ayurveda on rheumatoid arthritis, in relation to the modern medical concept. The evolution of the disease, its etiopathogenesis, its pathological, biochemical as well as therapeutic data published in support of this concept and finally the details of clinical trial of Sunthi in treating 265 patients are dealt with.
