The dpa ligand is not planar, the dihedral angle between the pyridine rings being 30.8 (4)°. In the crystal, the complex mol­ecules are stacked in columns along the a axis and are connected by inter­molecular N—H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming supra­molecular chains along the b axis.
