In the title compound, (C(10)H(24)N)[FeCl(4)], no classical hydrogen bonds are observed. The butyltriethylammonium cations interact with the tetrahedral [FeCl(4)](−) anion through weak C—H⋯Cl interactions, forming a three-dimensional network.
