1,4-Dibromo-2,5-dibutoxybenzene

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(14)H(20)Br(2)O(2), contains one half-molecule located on an inversion centre. The molecule is essentially planar, with a maximum deviation from the best plane of the non-H atoms of 0.054 (2) Å for the O atoms. The butoxy group adopts a fully extended a...

Sumario:The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(14)H(20)Br(2)O(2), contains one half-molecule located on an inversion centre. The molecule is essentially planar, with a maximum deviation from the best plane of the non-H atoms of 0.054 (2) Å for the O atoms. The butoxy group adopts a fully extended all-trans conformation. In the crystal, molecules are connected via C—Br⋯O halogen bonds [Br⋯O = 3.2393 (19) Å] into a two-dimensional corrugated network in the bc plane.
