In the title compound, C(9)H(12)N(2)O, the dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the mean plane of the acetohydrazide group is 88.2 (7)°. In the crystal, N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds and weak C—H⋯O inter­actions link the mol­ecules into infinite ribbons along [001].
