Sumario:The process of selecting and gaining admission to a graduate program can seem daunting to undergraduates. They may not understand what steps are involved or even what factors they should consider. In this article, we outline the major issues involved in applying, visiting, and choosing among institutions. Moreover, if a student’s potential is higher than their current grade point average might suggest to an admissions committee, we provide some suggestions they can use to improve their application.
