description BACKGROUND: Diagnostic accuracy of Hot Water Epilepsy (HWE) on history alone was observed to be less satisfactory by the first author while managing such patients psychologically. To confirm this observation this pilot study was planned. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Symptoms as reported by the patient was confirmed by the two authors in the wards by giving them Hot Water Head Bath. Following this they were subjected to behavioral Psychotherapeutic treatment to relieve them from their distressful symptoms. RESULTS AND CONLUSION: Confirmed the hypothesis and it was concluded that by witnessing the symptoms of HWE by the treating doctor would improve the outcome of any treatment.
