Isolation and fusion of protoplasts from the phytopathogenic fungus sclerotium rolfsii(sacc.)
Sclerotium rolfsii (Sacc.) is a serious plant pathogenic fungus and lacks perfect (basidial) stage in production. Protoplast fusion technology was employed to reconstruct fusants from this fungus.
