Fluorescent materials for pH sensing and imaging based on novel 1,4-diketopyrrolo-[3,4-c]pyrrole dyes
New optical pH-sensors relying on 1,4-diketopyrrolo-[3,4-c]pyrroles (DPPs) as fluorescent pH-indicators are presented.
