Sumario:In the title mol­ecule, C(15)H(22)O(2), there is an intra­molecular hydrogen bond involving the hy­droxy and aldehyde groups and forming an S(6) ring. The mean plane of the non-H atoms of this ring [(H)O—C C—C=O, with a maximum deviation of 0.013 (1) Å] are essentially coplanar with the benzene ring, forming a dihedral angle of 2.29 (8)°.
