Sumario:The title binuclear compound, [Cu(2)(CH(3)COO)(4)(C(6)H(4)N(2))(2)], lies about an inversion center, with the Cu(II) cation bridged by four acetate anions and coordinated by a pyridine N atom in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry. The Cu⋯Cu distance is 2.5997 (15) Å. In the crystal, molecules are linked by weak C—H⋯O and C—H⋯N hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional supramolecular architecture. The crystal studied was a non-merohedral twin with a minor twin component of 4.1 (1)%.
