Sumario: | In the title compound, [Co(NCS)(2)(C(6)H(6)N(2)O)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], the Co(II) cation is located on an inversion centre and is coordinated by two thiocyanate anions, two nicotinamide molecules and two water molecules in a distorted N(2)O(2)S(2) octahedral geometry. The amide group is twisted by 31.30 (16)° with respect to the pyridine ring. In the crystal, molecules are linked by O—H⋯O, O—H⋯S and N—H⋯S hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional supramolecular network. Weak π–π stacking is observed between parallel pyridine rings of adjacent molecules, the centroid–centroid distance being 3.8270 (19) Å. |
