In the title compound, C(14)H(12)Br(2)O, the dihedral angle between the aromatic rings is 2.7 (3)° and the Br atoms lie on the same side of the mol­ecule. No inter­molecular inter­actions occur in the crystal beyond van der Waals contacts.
