Sumario:The sacrococcygeal area is the most common site of extragonadal teratomas in infants, but is a challenge to make clinical as well as radiological diagnosis in adults. We herein describe two cases of sacrococcygeal teratoma (SCT) in adult. The clinical, radiological and histopathological characteristics of both the cases with their outcome are described with review of the literature. The standard care for SCTs is complete surgical resection of the tumor. The presence of malignant transformation is associated with a less favorable outcome.
