description PURPOSE: Pregnant women are more alert to their environment which greatly influences them. Prenatal stimulation through music allows expectant mothers to connect with their unborn baby. This helps to lower the mother's anxiety level and neonatal stress too. Auditory system is the only one that establishes a connection between the foetus and the outer world. So this we can stimulate the most. The intension of the study is to see the efficiency of music on foetus as well as pregnant women. So it can be effectively used as a part of Garbhini paricharya. METHOD: Each pregnant lady will be explained about the influence of music especially the Kalyani raga and later they will be given a CD of Karnatic Music of Kalyani raga and is instructed to hear it for 20 minutes daily for a period of 20 days. RESULT: The study shows very good influence in both fetus and pregnant women. CONCLUSION: On the basis of pancha panchaka siddantha shabda is the attribute of akasha mahabhoota which is used in the form of music given through srothraindriya interacts with manas and giving message to the atma. By this perception the pregnant lady gets the prassannata of atma indriya and manas and this influence the fetus which is in her womb and even we can cultivate a srasta samskara.
