Sumario:Successfully realizing the vision of genomic medicine will require management of large amounts of complex data. The electronic health record (EHR) is destined to play a critical role in the translation of genomic information into clinical care. The papers in this special issue explore the challenges associated with the implementation of genomics in the EHR. The proposed solutions are meant to provide guidance for those responsible for moving genomics into the clinic.
