Sumario:In the title compound, C(17)H(15)BrO(3)S, the dihedral angle between the planes of the benzo­furan ring system [r.m.s. deviation = 0.015 (2) Å] and the 4-bromo­phenyl ring is 89.29 (6)°. In the crystal, mol­ecules are linked into a chain along the b-axis direction by C—H⋯π hydrogen bonds and C—Br⋯π [3.626 (1) Å] inter­actions.
