Pure alpha-fetoprotein-producing neuroendocrine carcinoma of the pancreas: a case report

BACKGROUND: Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP)-producing pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNETs) are rare, and the few reported cases usually coexisted with other malignant components such as adenocarcinoma or hepatoid carcinoma.
