Sumario:In the title compound, C(16)H(17)NO(4)S, the heterocyclic ring is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.007Å) and the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 28.18 (10)°. The N—C—C—C torsion angle for the central chain is 62.4 (3)°: overall, the mol­ecule has a Z-shape. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate R (2) (2)(8) loops.
