Sumario: | Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is characterized by elevated pulmonary artery (PA) pressure, which negatively affects the right ventricular (RV) function. This report shows a patient with severe PAH, on whom a comprehensive MRI exam was performed to evaluate both PA and RV. New imaging sequences were implemented for obtaining additional parameters about the patient's condition. The results show the capabilities of the developed exam of providing complete picture of the cardiovascular system in PAH, which helps the physician optimize treatment. |
