description This case report shows how a simple but painstaking method of milking and levering in a slippery field was used to remove a thick metallic ring entrapped at the root of the penis after sexual intercourse. A ring can be removed easily from an organ if the inter-phase is made slippery. However this must be weighed against the handling difficulties posed by a wet slippery surface. With perseverance and the use of unconventional instrument, the ring was successfully extricated as a day case and without a surgical incision.
