Sumario:Relapse or recurrence of blastomycosis in patients is rare. Re-infection of a patient with blastomycosis has not been previously reported. In this report, we describe relapse or reinfection with Blastomyces in 2 immunocompetent patients. This is the first study in which genetic typing was performed on paired Blastomyces isolates from the same patient obtained months apart.
