description Obesity is considered a chronic disease, difficult to treat, and is the first cause of death in the world that is predictable. The BioEnterics Intragastric Balloon (BIB) is recommended for weight reduction as a bridge to bariatric surgery. All patients in the study underwent a psychological evaluation prior to placement of the BIB.
