In the title compound, C(9)H(9)ClN(2)O, the ethynyl­pyrimidine moiety displays an almost planar geometry. In the crystal, mol­ecules are linked by O—H⋯N and C—H(pyrimidine)⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional supra­molecular architecture.
