Sumario:MoO(2) nanosheets embedded in the amorphous carbon matrix (MoO(2)/C) are successfully synthesized via a facile hydrothermal method and investigated as an anode for sodium-ion batteries. Because of the efficient ion transport channels and good volume change accommodation, MoO(2)/C delivers a discharge/charge capacity of 367.8/367.0 mAh g(−1) with high coulombic efficiency (99.4%) after 100 cycles at a current density of 50 mA g(−1).
