Sumario: | OBJECTIVE: This study was designed to examine the internal consistency, test–retest reliability, construct, and concurrent validity of the Trust in Nurses Scale (TNS) in hospitalized patients with cancer in China. METHODS: Between October and December 2016, the Chinese version of TNS and Nurse–Patient Trust Scale were applied to assess 190 patients with cancer in a general hospital. A subsample of 70 patients completed the TNS again 1 week later. RESULTS: The Chinese version of the TNS had good internal consistency (α=0.817), fair test–retest reliability (r=0.866), and confirmatory factor analysis demonstrated good fit for a four-item version of the TNS. CONCLUSION: The Chinese TNS exhibited sufficient validity and reliability in hospitalized patients with cancer. |
