Sumario:• The comprehensive echocardiographic evaluation of a large, atypical left ventricular mass is presented. • The case highlights the importance of careful assessment from multiple imaging planes, using both transthoracic and transesophageal imaging, in order to accurately characterize an intracardiac mass on echocardiography. • In certain cases where further characterization of an intracardiac mass is required, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging could assist in differentiating cardiac thrombus from cardiac tumors.
