description Intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) is the second leading cause of mortality among patients diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). The bone marrow failure associated with AML produces dysfunctional platelets, which significantly increases the risk of hemorrhagic complications within this population. In this report we discuss the case of a previously healthy female patient, newly diagnosed with AML, who rapidly developed fatal ICH.
