In the image, the two streams of water from bamboo pipes and the rotary waterwheel are shown to represent verteporfin for vascular‐targeted photodynamic treatment and HIF‐1α siRNA for elevated activating reductases (CYP450), which can trigger the activation of AQ4N (a hypoxia‐activated prodrug).
