Quinone-Derived π-Extended Phenazines as New Fluorogenic Probes for Live-Cell Imaging of Lipid Droplets

We describe a new synthetic methodology for the preparation of fluorescent π-extended phenazines from the naturally-occurring naphthoquinone lapachol.
