Sumario:INTRODUCTION: This review was undertaken to analyze the relationship between body mass index (BMI) and dental caries with the available literature evidence. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The articles were searched from Medline/PubMed and Journal of Web published between 2005 and 2016. RESULTS: Out of the 146 references obtained, 16 articles in English language were read in full, which fulfilled the inclusion criteria after assessing by Down and Black criteria.
