Sumario:We report the case of a 79-year-old male who presented with altered bowel habit. Subsequent endoscopy and radiological investigations suggested the diagnosis of a likely sigmoid colon malignancy. Surgery was performed to remove the suspected tumour and post-surgical histology showed only inflammatory change in an area of underlying sigmoid diverticulosis with an associated impacted dental prosthesis.
