Sumario:Propofol is commonly used for induction and maintenance of anesthesia, and sedation in the intensive care unit. In addition, it is also used as an anesthetic coma treatment for refractory status epilepticus. We present the case of a 52-year-old man, who developed green urine following propofol coma therapy for status epilepticus. The urine color recovered following discontinuation of propofol infusion. The green discoloration of urine is a rare and benign condition, which occurs when clearance of propofol exceeds the hepatic and extrahepatic elimination.
