Sumario:First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Disease Models & Mechanisms (DMM), helping early-career researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Daniel Sobrido-Cameán is first author on ‘Serotonin inhibits axonal regeneration of identifiable descending neurons after a complete spinal cord injury in lampreys’, published in DMM. Daniel is a PhD student in the lab of María Celina Rodicio and Antón Barreiro-Iglesias at Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, Santiago de Compostela, Spain, investigating the mechanisms involved in the development and regeneration of the nervous system.
