Formulation and in-vivo Evaluation of Novel Topical Gel of Lopinavir for Targeting HIV

BACKGROUND: Lopinavir is a specific reversible inhibitor of the enzyme HIV protease with mean oral bioavailability of less than 20% due to extensive hepatic metabolism by cytochrome P450 3A4.
