Sumario:Psychiatrists are often confronted with the problem of non-consensual treatment. This paper focuses on the rights of patients with mental health disorders in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia in relation to non-consensual treatment and deprivation of liberty. The current mental health legislation and its implementation in local services is described with an emphasis on the assessment and treatment of patients with mental disorders.
