Sumario:Primary lung adenocarcinoma, diffuse pneumonic type, can mimic the clinical presentation of an infectious or inflammatory lung disease, which can represent a diagnostic challenge. We present an unusual case of adenocarcinoma of the lung refractory to treatment, associated with rapid deterioration of respiratory status, ARDS requiring intubation and ultimately death.
