Sumario: | Our understanding of the anatomy of hearts of ectothermic saurosids, or colloquially “reptiles”, was much advanced by the publication of the series of four papers under the heading of Comparative Cardiac Anatomy of the Reptilia in Journal of Morphology between 1971 and 1981. Here, I commemorate the papers, show how they moved our understanding forwards, and briefly describe the state‐of‐the‐art. |
