description | Manufacturing companies have come under intense pressure to sustain the environment in which they operate. This has led to the adoption of ‘greener’ and more environmentally friendly approaches among firms. This paper explores the effects of sustainability practices on the growth of manufacturing companies in urban Ghana involving six manufacturing companies. Using the cross-sectional design with a two-stage sampling technique, 600 respondents were selected through structured questionnaires across 6 companies. The empirical model was tested using regression analysis, to verify the hypothetical relationships of the study. The results of this study indicate model Summary with R Square of 0.813 shows that environmental sustainability practices of manufacturing companies have significant positive profit margins in their operational activities. Again, regression coefficients of the predictor variables are at 1% and 5% significance. The (2-tailed) Pearson Correlation between cost of Maintaining ESPs and the Plans for Improving ESPs is significant at 1%. Further sustainability practices are suggested to strengthen the operations of manufacturing companies. |
