Carbon Materials: Preparation of 2D Carbon Materials by Chemical Carbonization of Cellulosic Materials to Avoid Thermal Decomposition (Global Challenges 7/2017)
Cellulosic materials including regenerated cellulose are able to be carbonized without thermal decomposition through sulphonic acid treatments before carbonization. Carbon materials having high carbon yields which are near to the theoretical carbon content of cellulose molecules are obtained. Electr...

Sumario: | Cellulosic materials including regenerated cellulose are able to be carbonized without thermal decomposition through sulphonic acid treatments before carbonization. Carbon materials having high carbon yields which are near to the theoretical carbon content of cellulose molecules are obtained. Electrical and mechanical properties of carbonized papers and fabrics are very good and are enhanced by heat‐treatments at higher temperatures.
