description Tuberous sclerosis is a genetic disease with autosomal dominant transmission. Its classic presentation comprises epilepsy, mental deficiencies, and sebaceous adenomas. Aneurysms of the aorta can be detected in people with tuberous sclerosis ranging from children a few months old to young adults.
