Adults of the genus are notable within the family for the contrasting black and green hairs on the forewings. A total of six species are treated, three described as new: Ascotrichia adirecta sp. n. (Brazil), A. hystricosa sp. n. (Brazil), and A. simoma sp. n. (Brazil). |
