description Abstract. The division of Greek members of the genus Temnothorax into 17 morphological groups is proposed. (Epirus, Ionian Islands, Macedonia, Peloponnese, western Sterea Ellas, Thessaly, and also Dalmatia in Croatia), and T. messiniaensissp. nov. (Ionian Islands and Peloponnese); a new species Temnothorax triangularissp. nov., a member of the Temnothorax nylanderi species group is also described (Sterea Ellas: Euboea Island).
